Wiccan Spells: Is There A Difference?

Wiccan Spells: Is There A Difference?

I hear people talk about Wicca as if it is synonymous with witchcraft.

I want to offer a clear distinction here.

As it is great that Wicca is becoming a more widely used and acceptable term. It does not seem to conjour up the same mistrust and misinformation as the word 'witchcraft' does.

Wicca and Witchcraft are two separate entities that are compatible with each other.

In plainer english. You can be Wiccan and not be practicing witchcraft. You can practice Witchcraft and not be Wiccan. You can be both and you can be neither.

Many Wiccans (as part of the pagan religion known as Wicca) do infact practice witchcraft.

And they do have spells that originate from Wicca practices. Hence why they are called Wiccan Spells or Wicca Spells.

Now some witchcraft spells may get called Wiccan spells simply by default - as you associate wicca with the craft.

OK - so has that cleared a few things up :-)

How about then a Free Wiccan Spell for you to practice with?

Here's a lovely Wiccan Spell for Peace and Harmony

Items needed:

  • Rose quartz
  • A Mirror
  • A Pink Candle
Light the pink candle and place it in front of the mirror. Holding the rose quartz in your hands, gaze at the flame reflected in the mirror and chant the following:

O blessed and reflected light Bring to me peace this night Let my mind and heart be free And filled with love and harmony

Look past the flame into the mirror. Try to see which negative elements are affecting you at the moment, that you would like to remove from your mind, heart and life.

See them begin to be drawn into the candle flame and then into the mirror.

Then when you feel ready, place the mirror face down.

Allow the candle to burn for one hour and then snuff it out.

Clean the mirror in salt water and repeat whenever you feel this is necessary :-)

Witch Spells: How To Know If It's A 'Good' Spell

Witch Spells: How Do I Know If It's A Good Spell?

This is quite a common question.

And it is two fold in how I will approach this.

As I stated in my previous post here the key determinent in any spell work is actually the spell caster.

What will be the deciding factor in whether a spell works for you or not is YOU.

In that it is about you being prepared to believe, to the point of KNOWING that what you want to have happen will.

It would be very easy for me to promise that the heavens will part, fairy dust will come trinkling down and then, poof it will happen.

And then I would not be being honest with you or in integrity with The Craft.

Spells can work incredibly fast - there's no doubt about it.

And witches who are successful with this are those that are most able to move themselves into that place of absolute certainty that what they will spell cast for, will eventuate.

And here's the thing - ANYONE can achieve this outcome.

YOU reading this can too. I assure you of this. Once you are prepared to let go any baggage around what it is you want (and don't have).

As long as you are not trying to manipulate the feelings or behaviors of another.

As long as you spell cast with a true and open heart - witch spells can work for you too.

OK onto Stage Two of how to know if a witch spell is a 'good one'.

Here's some telling signs:

1. If it suggests harming or determining another's behavior - it is not a true white witch spell.

2. If it suggests that you wave a wand, jump up and down on a spot, or anything seeming from a movie or story book - it is not a true witches spell.

3. It reinforces how important YOUR role in the success of a spell is.

4. It is focusing on gaining you positive results in your life, without it being to another's detriment.

5. It works with any or all of the 4 elements - earth, air, water, fire. And may also have a metal component.

6. Candle spells are generally great, safe, yet powerful spells

7. Here are some things it can have but does not need to: an altar, chanting, sacred circle, athame, tarot cards, wand, salt, cauldron, pentagram/pentacle *

* this leads onto another point with witch spells - you DO NOT need to work with the traditional witches tools - there are many ways a spell can be constructed and offered to you for your purposes.

More on that in another post :-)

I hope this gives you more understanding about witch spells.

There is a wonderful mystic around witchcraft, which we hold dear and is necessary.

And it is also open to ALL that have a true & good intent for what they want to use it for.

And remember...

Know that what you want will happen to the point of certainty...and so it will become!

Witchcraft Spells: What You Need To Know

I get so many emails from people wanting to know if witchcraft spells work. And then what they need to do to guarantee they are successful for them.

I can answer the first question very simply...

Yes they do work!

And sometimes they don't...

If they do not work - it is not because the spell was a fake, or not powerful enough, or that witchcraft itself is a bunch of hogwash.

The only reason a spell does not work is because of the spell caster.

It is as simple as that.

With any witchcraft spells, witch spells, wicca spells - any spells - the key determinent is always the spell caster.

As spell in of itself can be a powerful entity - and some spells definitely do carry more power that others.

But where people go wrong - time and time again - is that they think it is the spell that is the 'magic charm' that will do all of the work for them.

It is like having a thoroughbred horse - you have to know how to ride it, and also want to learn to work with that horse to get the most from it.

With spell work - the thing that YOU need to do the most is actually to be willing to believe that what you want to have happen will.

You need to FOCUS on your desire outcome.

FOCUS on your having that desired outcome as if it is your reality already.

If you do not approach it from that perspective. If you think a spell will happen outside of your own energy - chances are it wont work.

See whatever you are focused on when you are spell casting - so if it is the 'not having' or the 'longing' (which is the not having, dressed up a different way) - then that is what you will end up attracting back to you.

So ALWAYS with spell work - work on your own focus, and this might take time - it's worth it. Work on your own focus so that you believe to the point of knowing, that what you want to have happen will.

Best wishes with your spell work.

On The Subject Of Free Witch Spells

Everyone loves Free Witch Spells - and if you click on that link you can go grab some :-)

The thing to know with any spell - free or paid - is to approach it with the right intention. If you focus on abundance when you spell cast - you'll receive abundance back.

As like attracts like - and so it is important when casting any spell to have an open, loving, abundant heart and certainty that what you want to have happen will.

Now this can be challenging when your 'reality' seems to be the opposite - however this is the principal upon which magick works upon.

To create a new reality you have to live it beforehand with your feelings - you have to be prepared ot let go your emotions about your current situation and feel the feelings you would have if you had what your heart desires.

So again go here and grab these: Free Witch Spells - and enjoy :-)

What Are Witchcraft Spells?

I often get asked about what makes a spell? And it's a great question.

There are many forms a spell can take.

It can be about words - with a verse, song or short prose

It can be about actions - a ritual, actions you take

It can be about tools & props - candles, oils, crystals and so on

There are many things that can go into a spell.

What is consistent with any spell is the thought behind it - as a spell is about conscious creation - or said the other way - creating consciously.

So when you cast a spell - however you do it, whatever spell you choose, the main stay is that you are focused on what you DO want. Not on what you don't.

And this focus is with your thoughts - and even more important with your feelings.

That you feel that what you desire is already yours. You feel it as if it is real for you now - your focus is on that rather than what is your 'current reality'

As witchcraft and spells are based on the Universal Law of Like Attracts Like - so if you continue to focus on your current reality before, during or after you cast a spell - well like attracts like - you will attract more of your current reality.

It is worth stating the there IS power in the words, verse, actions, props etc - however they alone will not make a spell work.

YOU will make a spell work.

Spell Casting: How Do You Close A Sacred Circle?

I often get asked about how best to close the Sacred Circle after you have finished spell casting.

I thought it worthwhile writing this up and posting it here :-)

When you cast the Sacred Circle you put three scoops of salt stirred into water. And then you the practitioner visualizes all negative thoughts and vibrations evaporating.

You then point the athame at the physical circle boundary and you will walk around the circle visualizing a beam of energy or light flowing from the end of the athame onto the circle boundary.

This is generally done clockwise.

Taking down or dismantling the sacred space involves the same procedure as creating it.

This time everything is done in reverse.

You begin in the North, pointing the Athame at the Northern Quadrant visualizing the Guardian returning to where it came from.

You continue moving counter clockwise dismissing the Guardians by moving widdershins (counterclockwise) around the circle, reciting in the appropriate quadrant what you generally recite.

Once you have dismissed the Guardians you then 'take up the circle' beginning in the North.

And you point the Athame at the circle boundary line withdrawing the psychic energy which was earlier placed there.

All items, tools etc used during the ritual also need to be put away unless it is an area used exclusively for ritual.

I trust this clarifies how best to complete your spell casting.

Wicca Beginner

Wicca Beginner

Wicca is one form of witchcraft.

And many Wiccans are not actually practicing witches.

So you can be wiccan and not practice the craft. And you can be a witch and not be wiccan. And of course you can be both.

Wicca is a relatively new pagan religion that traces back to Gerard Gardner. Who due to his frustration with both Christianity and Ceremonial Magic (which uses psychic skills through rituals, traditions and the laws of nature) that was at that time the only 'alternative' offering, prompted him to create something different.

Some suggest that it came about in 1951 and other texts claim it was in 1954 - suffice to say it was in the 50's that Wicca came into being.

Wiccans are taught to think for themselves, take responsibility for their lives and live by the Wiccan Rede which has the 'golden rule' of "An ye harm none, do what ye will"

A lot of Wiccans are attracted to The Craft because it draws on and strengthens their personal power.

They learn to create consciously outcomes that bring themselves and others that given them permission to cast on there behalf, joy.

Wicca very much has a "live and let live" philosophy. There is room for everyone and for everyone's personal belief system.

Most Wiccans believe it is unethical to impose their beliefs on others, let alone tell them how to worship.

Wiccans also know the power of belief - and that what you believe will happen in life will in fact be the outcome you experience.

That 9 times out of 10 we are creating unconsciously - and that may then mean we are creating what we don't want. As we are busy caught up in our emotions about something - and that emotion/feeling is sending out an energy wave that then brings back in like your experience.

Wiccans recognize that life is a mirror - and that it is possible to focus on what you do want - and so it becomes.

As stated the Wiccan Rede is very much the Wiccan Golden Rule. It reads as:

Wiccan Rede

Bide the Wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.

Live and let live - fairly take and fairly give.

Cast the Circle thrice about to keep the evil spirits out.

To bind the spell every time, let the spell be spake in rhyme.

Soft of eye and light of touch - speak ye little, listen much.

Deosil go by the waxing moon - sing and dance the Wiccan Rune.

Widdershins go when the Moon doth wane, and the werewolf howls by thr dread wolfsbane.

When the Lady's Moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.

When the Moon rides at Her peak, then your heart's desire seek.

Head the North wind's mighty gale - lock the door and drop the sail.

When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.

When the West wind blows o'er, the departed spirits restless be.

Nine woods in the Cauldron go, burn them quick and burn them slow.

Elder be ye Lady's tree - burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

When the Wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.

When the Wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and let Pan rule.

Heed ye flower, bush and tree - by the Lady blessed be.

When the ripping waters go, cast a stone and truth ye'll know.

When ye are in dire need, hearkin not to other's greed.

With the fool no season spend, or be counted as his friend.

Mind the threefold law ye should - three times bad and tree times good.

When misfortune is enow, wear the blue star on thy brow.

True in love ever be, unless thy lover's false to thee.

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill, an ye harm none, do what ye will.

What is Paganism and being a Pagan Mean?

I often get asked about what is Paganism and what constitutes being a pagan.

I find Wikipedia a great source of information. Here are some snippets I took to help you understand what the word Pagan and Paganism really means.

Incidently (or maybe not so) the growth of Pagans and Pagan religions is at an all time high at this point in time.

Remember too that whilst it is accepted by many that witches and pagans are synonomous. That Witchcraft exists in ALL religions - not just Pagan ones

Paganism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Both 'pagan' and 'heathen' have historically been used as a pejorative by adherents of monotheistic religions (such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam) to indicate a disbeliever in their religion. 'Paganism' is also sometimes used to mean the lack of (an accepted monotheistic) religion, and therefore sometimes means essentially the same as atheism. 'Paganism' frequently refers to the religions of classical antiquity, most notably Greek mythology or Roman religion, and can be used neutrally or admiringly by those who refer to those complexes of belief. However, until the rise of Romanticism and the general acceptance of freedom of religion in Western civilization, 'paganism' was almost always used disparagingly of heterodox beliefs falling outside the established political framework of the Christian Church. It has more recently (from the 19th century) been used admiringly by those who believe monotheistic religions to be confining or colourless.

Christianity itself has been perceived at times as a form of paganism by followers of the other Abrahamic religions[3][4]because of, for example, the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, the celebration of pagan feast days[5], and other practices [6] - through a process described as "baptising" [7]or "christianization". Even between Christians there have been similar charges of paganism levelled, especially by Protestants[8],[9], towards the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches for their veneration of the saints and images.

Pagan religions

The pagan religions are divided into two great groups: the American Paganism and the European (or classic) Paganism.

* Ancient Greek religion
* Ancient Near East Paganism
* Celtic polytheism
* Baltic paganism
* Finnish paganism
* Germanic paganism
* Paganism in the Eastern Alps
* Slavic paganism
* Egyptian Paganism

Neopaganism

In another sense, as used by modern practitioners, Paganism is a polytheistic, panentheistic, or pantheistic religious practice, often nature-based. Most Pagans consider themselves to be religious, however some others use the term for a form of Atheism, Agnosticism, or philosophy. Neopaganism includes reconstructed religions such as Hellenic polytheism, Celtic Reconstructionist Paganism, and the many Germanic revivals such as Ásatrú, Heathenry, Norse paganism and Theodism. Due to the fact that Reconstructionist religions are polytheistic revivals and elaborations based on surviving cultural practices, many Reconstructionists prefer to be called Pagans, not Neopagans. It might best be assessed that they inhabit a grey area between Pagan and Neopagan.

Also categorised as Neopagan are religions such as Forn Sed, Neo-druidism, Longobardic Odinism, Lithuanian Romuva, and Slavic Rodoverie that also claim to revive an ancient religion rather than reconstruct it, though in general the difference is not absolutely fixed.

Modern eclectic traditions such as Discordianism, and Wicca and its many offshoots are Neopagan, although Wiccans and Wiccan-influenced Neopagans may also refer to themselves simply as "Pagan".

Modern nature religion

Many current Pagans in industrial societies base their beliefs and practices on a connection to Nature, and a divinity within all living things, but this may not hold true for all forms of Paganism, past or present. Some believe that there are many deities, while some believe that the combined subconscious spirit of all living things forms the universal deity. Paganism pre-dates modern monotheism, although its origins are lost in prehistory.

Witches Also Celebrate Valentines Day!

I know that for many Valentines Day is more deserved of being called Hallmark Day

The thing though with a day like today - is that it reminds us of something that is worthwhile doing 24/7 for every day of the year...

And that is to LOVE one another.

This is not confined to romantic love alone - this is about opening your heart and giving of yourself and your positive regard to others.

As opposed to waiting, hoping or demanding you get it first.

You see this is also what makes Witches so powerful.

A true witch who practices the craft draws on his/her power by going into their heart.

It is about consciously creating with an open heart space.

When we are in a state of love, joy, peace, calm, fulfilment we are able to manifest more powerfully what it is we desire.

Now you might read that and think - "that's impossible, how can I do that, when I want this so so much?!"

And that is what it is ALL about. That you can see, touch, taste and feel what you want to have as if you have it now - so you feel those joyous, happy, loving feels as you would when your heart's desire comes to you.

As remember the universal principal is that LIKE attracts LIKE.

So whether it be today - Febraury 14th or any other day - I encourage you to open your heart - as when you do...you will be opening your power to consciously create magick in your life!

Happy Valentines Day to Witches and those still yet to become...

Witchcraft and Scrying

Witchcraft and Scrying

Scrying is an old word for the practice of crystal-gazing or using some similar means to obtain clairvoyance. It is akin to the word "descry" which originally meant to reveal, as well as to discover by seeing. Scrying is a more general term than crystal-gazing, because it embraces all forms of developing clairvoyance by gazing at or into some object.

The object used in scrying is called a "speculum." Throughout the ages, a great many different objects have been used for this purpose. The transparent crystal globe, with the use of which most people are familiar, is only one of a great variety of such specula.

The practice of scrying is common to witches of all ages and countries. Like magick in general, it is as old as man himself; and it is still as popular with contemporary witches as it was long ago.

Witches seldom possessed a crystal ball for two reasons. First, a genuine crystal ball is a valuable and expensive object. Most so-called "crystals" are actually simply glass. The very latest development in this field is that of transparent globes of acrylic plastic. These are nevertheless described as "crystal balls" in the advertisements for them in magazines. Real rock crystal is a semi-precious stone; a ball made from it is heavy, and icy cold. It takes an expert to distinguish the real thing from imitations. Hence, valuable crystals usually round but sometimes egg-shaped or pear-shaped, became precious heirlooms handed down for generations and beyond the pocket of the poorer witch.

Second, such a possession was not only expensive and valuable, it was dangerous. To have such a thing found in one's house, immediately convicted the owner of magickal practices. In the days when witchcraft was a hanging matter, witches found it wise to improvise their speculum out of things which could be found innocently in any cottage -- a rule which they followed with many of their other tools as well.

Consequently, a black bowl filled with water is quite popular as a speculum. So also are the old-fashioned glass globes used by fishermen as floats for their nets. These often come in beautiful dark green or blue glass, and make fine specula.

Today, antique dealers sometimes sell these old fishing floats as "witch balls." They are not, although witches did use them.

Some witches use a blue glass bottle as a speculum, filling the bottle with water. A ball of black glass was particularly prized, some thinking it superior even to a genuine crystal ball. Others considered that the best speculum was a ball of pale greenish-colored beryl crystal.

In the future, I will describe how do crystal gazing.

My Spell Didn't Work - So Witchcraft Doesn't Work!

"Witchcraft doesn't work - so my spell didn't work!"

I sometimes receive emails from people saying exactly that to me. They cast a spell yesterday, last week, a couple of weeks ago and it didn't produce the results they desired.

A couple of things I say consistently in response to that are:

The foundation of witchcraft is based on belief – believing that something you desire can and will happen. Like attracts like.

So the key is for you to be in that position of believing that you have the power to create what you desire, and the spell is your vehicle to do this. Otherwise, no amount of spell casting or magick making will work.

The power comes from the witch themselves – and everyone has that power.

When you decide you have that, then you will see spells working for you very quickly.

So that is how you begin, then when you have cast your spell...

If you are waiting (think fingers drumming on the table top, or waiting expectantly for it to materialize) for the spell to happen - your energy and focus is actually on that it 'might not happen' - whereas the key to casting a spell is to know with absolutely certainty it will happen for you and then you let it go. Waiting is not a factor as you know it is going to happen.

You do not cast a spell and then expect it to happen overnight or within a week - as again that is telling that your energy is on fear, anxiety and that it may not happen.

YOU are the key to the spell working - and it is about you having that certainty of what you want to have happen will - you can feel it as if it is your reality now.

I can promise you that when you fully, truly and deeply believe that what you want to have happen will - to the point that you can see, feel, touch and taste it - it will eventuate.

Because...LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE - the energy you put out will come back to you in like. If you focus on hoping, worrying or wondering if it will happen - you will stay in that state - it wont eventuate. When you trust, know and accept it as a certainty - so it becomes.

Is Witchcraft Evil?

Hi there,

I want to spend some time answering some questions I typically get asked about Witchcraft.

The first one is: "Is witchcraft evil?"

Short answer is no it's not! :-)

Witchcraft - true witchcraft comes from an open hearted, loving space. And it is about working as one with the universal energies and nature to consciously create.

A witch can divine for her/himself - there is absolutely nothing wrong with consciously creating positive things for yourself.

The key is that you do not knowingly spell cast at the expense of another.

Nor must you EVER divine against another's free will. This is especially important when casting love spells. You can indeed put out a person's name - and let it go, also stating that you ask the universal energies to bring you what is for your highest good.

So witchcraft in many many ways - is the root of all personal development today!

It is about consciously creating.

A witch's power comes from his/her ability to be able to see, feel, taste, touch what it is they want as if they have it now. They have absolutely certainty and belief and are focusing on what they do want versus what they don't.

Witches also should never cast a spell involving another person without that person's express request or approval to do so.

I personally am a fan for people casting their own spells for themselves - as I believe we have the greatest power to attract what it is we want - as like attracts like.

Where the power of a group spell can be useful is if a friend or coven members asks you to support them with a particular spell - it might be for improved health, or strength in the face of a difficult personal situation.

There are many more things I want to write about.

I will leave those for another time :-)

Here's a wonderful spell for you to do to attract financial abudance into your life:

Working With Witchcraft When Searching for Success

You may be looking for your first real job, trying to get a big promotion after a number of years, or starting up your own business, and you are looking for success. A spell to be successful, like the one below can help you believe in yourself and attract opportunity.

To Bring Success Spell

Bathtub
Salt
Two green candles
A bowl full of fresh leaves from four of the following plants: Marigold, Celery, Mint, Grass, Nasturtium, Parsley, Cress, and Comfrey.
Cheesecloth
Silver ribbon

Step 1. After collecting the tools and ingredients, prepare the space around the bathtub according to your own ritual, or by lightly sprinkling salt in a circle around it while speaking the following words: I consecrate this place/ for the Goddess within and without/ Only love and good can remain/ hate and evil are cast out.

Step 2. Light the candles and fill the bathtub.

Step 3. As the tub is filling, concentrate on that thing which is your goal. Visualize the steps necessary to achieve it.

Step 4. When the bath is ready, sprinkle the leaves throughout the tub.

Step 5. Get into the bath and inhale the steam as you speak the following words seven times: Blessed One within and without/ As green and strong these gentle herbs are/ let them draw to me favor and fortune/ In your wisdom show me/ how to achieve that which I desire.

Note. If you have a specific goal in mind, it is appropriate to add that to the end of this incantation. Whether you know your goal or if it is more general, it is very important to visualize the success you desire.

Step 6. Remain in the bath as long as you like, meditating on your desired goal. When you are finished, collect the wet leaves into the piece of cheesecloth and gather up the sides to make a bag. Tie it with the silver ribbon and hang it to dry.

Step 7. At night, when you sleep, place the bag under your pillow. As you sleep, repeat the incantation and visualize your success.

A Cleansing Spell

I thought you might enjoy this...this is a tried, tested and true
Witchcraft ritual around Cleansing.

Magickal Cleansing spells have very little to do with actual
cleanliness - as we traditionally define it.

A Cleansing spell at it's most basic removes psychic and spiritual
debris.

A certain level of this debris accumulates constantly. As you
become more pyshically aware, you may become more conscious to this
and feel a greater desire to have regular cleansing rituals.

Cleasing spells remove low-level spiritual entities that knowingly
or unknowingly obstruct or weaken your own psychic work. Lessening
your chances of success.

In addition cleansings welcome and make room for more helpful,
benevolent spirits.

With cleansing spells you may choose to cleanse areas, people,
ritual tools or other objects.

This sort of magick is extremely personal magick and the results
are apparent immediately. As in you FEEL cleansed.

There are many different cleansing spells/rituals you can
undertake, some with candles, brooms, bells and much more.

I would like to share with you a very simple and abudantly powerful
cleansing spell using the...

SMUDGE STICK
***************
A Smudge Stick is a small wand made from dried botanicals.

Smudging is the process of using directed smoke to cleanse an area,
person or object.

Smudge sticks are readily available from New Age stores or you can
make your own...

1) Dry bunches of herbs

2) When they have completely dried, bind them together with thin
cotton thread

3) When needed, the stick is lit and the smoke is directed towards
and over whatever needs cleansings

4) You may use your bare hands to direct the smoke

PLEASE BE AWARE OF SAFETY!

Smudge sticks are neat, compact and easily controlled, descreet and
mobile.

Smudge sticks tend to smolder long after the flames appear to have
died out.

Do not leave the stick unattended or out in the open. Rest it
fully on a metal tray or dinner plate when finished using it - and
do not let it come into direct contact with anything flamable.

Have water nearby as a back-up.

What herbs to use
***************

i) White sage or common garden sage

ii) Rosemary

iii) Juniper

iv) Sandalwood

v) Thyme

Protecting Your While Working With Witchcraft

Here's another little spell I wanted to share with you when working with magick and spell casting:

Protecting Yourself While Working With Witchcraft Magick

There are other things that you will need to do in order to keep yourself safe. All spell work should begin with some ritual to cleanse and protect the space you are working in. Some call this “Casting the Circle.” There are an endless number of variations on ways to prepare your space. Some are more complicated than other. The important thing is to find a ritual that works well for you personally. Below are two options, the first being more simple.

To Prepare and Cleanse a Sacred Space Spell I

Tools and Ingredients

Alter or Sacred Space
Salt

Step 1. Lightly sprinkle salt in a circle around yourself while speaking the following words: I consecrate this place/ for the Goddess within and without/ Only love and good can remain/ hate and evil are cast out.

To Prepare and Cleanse a Sacred Space Spell II

Tools and Ingredients

Alter or Sacred Space
Ceremonial knife
One white candle
One red candle
One blue candle
One black candle

Step 1. Imagine your space as a circle and set the candles around it. Place the white candle at a point facing East, the red candle at point facing South, the blue candle at a point facing West and the black candle at a point facing North. "Attract A New Love" Spell

I thought you might enjoy this witchcraft spell :-)

Sometimes, even when you are ready for a new relationship, things seem to need a little push.

Simple chance can play such an important part in helping a potential love come across your path. Using a spell to invite those with certain qualities into your life can be an effective way to attract new love, or try to attract the love of someone already in your life. The spell below does more than that by also putting energy into allowing others to see you for the attractive, unique and loving person you are.

To Attract a New Love Spell

Tools and ingredients

Alter or Sacred Space
5-6 inch circle of red fabric
Blue ribbon
Red candle
Dried lavender
Small piece of rose quartz
Small piece of copper (a coin, ring or piece of wire is acceptable)
Ylang Ylang oil
Orange oil
A plate

Step 1. After collecting the tools and ingredients, prepare your space according to your own ritual, or by lightly sprinkling salt in a circle around yourself while speaking the following words: I consecrate this place/ for the Goddess within and without/ only love and good can remain/ hate and evil are cast out.

Step 2. Light the red candle and think for a moment about the type of person you want to attract into your life. Select three qualities that you want them to have, for example honesty, strength and sensuality. If you already know who you are trying to attract, think of their name and visualize them. Then consider the best aspects of yourself and try to think of the three things you most want others to see in you, for example, intelligence, enthusiasm and grace.

Step 3. Place the plate on the alter and set the red fabric circle on it. Take a pinch of the dried lavender and hold it in your clasped hands. Inhale the aroma of the lavender while speaking these words: My heart is open and ready for love/ may the Goddess bless my new journey.

Step 4. Rubbing your hands together, allow the lavender to sprinkle onto the red fabric circle.

Step 5. Place a few drops of the Ylang Ylang oil onto your hands and then begin to rub the oil into the piece of rose quartz while speaking the following words at least three times (insert the qualities of type of person you wish to have in your life): Bright One inside and around me/ let one with ______, ______, and ______ come into my life!

Alternative. If you already know the person whose love you are trying to attract, use this incantation instead: Bright One inside and around me/ if it will be for the good of all/ Let ______ and I see each other with open hearts and open minds/ that love may begin anew.

Step 6. Place the piece of rose quartz onto the red fabric.

Step 7. Place a few drops of the orange oil onto your hands and rub the oil into the piece of copper while speaking the following words at least three times (insert the three things you most want others to see in you): You, who are all things beautiful and true/ let me feel you inside of me/ always remembering the _______, _______, and _______ that exist in me.

Step 8. Place the piece of copper onto the red fabric.

Step 9. Take the red candle and hold it above the fabric, allow one drop of wax to fall on the items gathered below for each of the following sentences: In your name, Goddess, I am ready for love/ Let those with _______,________, and _______ come into my life/ Let all see the ______, _______, and _______ inside of me/ By my will, so mote it be!

Alternative. If you already know the person whose love you are trying to attract, use this incantation instead:

In your name, Goddess, I am ready for love/ Let ______ and I see each other with open hearts and open minds / Let him see the ______, _______, and _______ inside of me/ By my will, so mote it be!

Step 10. Gather up the circle to form a pouch. Use the blue ribbon to close it tightly with seven knots. Keep the pouch with you, tied around your neck or waist, until your spell has accomplished its goal.
